Who I am:

I'm a writer, a poet, and an artist. I wanted to write my first book at age eight, had drawn princesses and animals as soon as I could hold a pen or pencil, and have been writing poetry since I was around ten. The dream of writing always stayed in my heart and storytelling became a nightly thing after I became a mother, although at times it seemed I forgot and pursued other careers.

I grew up in a tiny village in Hungary. First lived in New York and now in the suburb of Chicago, IL.

I always stop to smell the roses or any other flower in my way. I'm a nature and animal lover.

I hope you enjoy my creations :) Thank you in advance for your support!

My next project will be, after completing the ones I noted below, a historical fiction (my first) story or novel about the Tatar invasion of Hungary. I did extensive research on the subject during the 2020 NaNoWriMo so I feel prepared. I've always been fascinated by this stretch of Hungarian history, probably because I grew up in the little village where this important battle took place.

My goal is to keep writing, evoking emotion, help heal, and be a testament to overcoming odds. In the end, I’d like to make a meaningful difference in this life.

Some of my work has been published by Oakton in their literary magazine, Spark, in Distilled Lives (an anthology from the IL State Poetry Society), on The Scarlet Leaf Review’s website, in several anthologies by The International Library of Poetry (ex: Tracing the Infinite in 2004, Who's Who in Literature, 2006, and has won several Runner Up & Honorable Mentions at Wow! Women on Writing. Please see a full list of publications under the Publications tab.

Love Unpredictable

This is a 5,300-word short story I've written recently. It's my first fantasy story. I'm working on expanding it into a novella. Right now, it's written from Sapphire's point of view. In the expended version, I will also get into the mind of Dawson, but before I do, I will do more research to be able to depict the thoughts of such personality.

My Poems Published

My poem, Radiating Love was to be published by Spark in the first week of May 2019. I wrote this poem about two years prior and is dear to my heart.

On Patreon, at the $3 tier, you can read poems before they are published :) and your support helps me to be able to continue with my passion for writing and make people laugh or cry, and think.

Several of my poems are coming up for publication and I'll be posting them on Patreon.

Writing Prompts

Check out my writing prompts on Patreon and follow me on Twitter.

Using 8-10 words in a 20-minute writing prompt can turn into a poem, a flash fiction story, a creative nonfiction piece, and even into a novel. I'm still amazed by how my creativity flows when I don't limit and edit myself in those 20 minutes.

Here's an example using these words:

1. Burgundy

2. Cardiac

3. Orange

4. Quicken

5. Carnation

6. Knuckles

7. Divisive

8. Jezebel

I knuckled under the gravity of the situation encompassing the residents of level five. The cardiac wing on Jezebel. I wasn’t their savior, yet I needed to do something. They looked to me for any direction as head of the rehabilitation unit assigned from Earth. I was familiar when nothing else was. Not even the air they breathed. Their molecules were changed to require, heloxine, a new substance, offering the lungs energy and vitality. Oxygen was no longer essential. Yet the heart is a stubborn organ, the hardest to change.

The bluish-yellow light glimmered through the corridors as I quickened my steps, taking in the carnation walls and burgundy ceiling. The space-station was divisive, yet immaculate, life-giving, and serene. Half humans hovered over the white lines... (I posted the full prompt on Patreon. This is about 2/3 of what I wrote in the 20 minutes).
